Hi Thom: Haven't heard much from you in a long time. Thanks for signing that book. I'd like to see another training video, I did pretty good with the last one. But, this time show us that stuff you did on Cascade, which has knocked me out. Even though I am 78, just bought a new guitar from Bob Shade of Hallmark (the true JM model) and Eddie P. put me onto some P-90s that I have installed on my other guitar. Would like to send photos of the two guitars, but this site may kick them out.. however, many thanks for entertaining me!!!!!

Thom,
Enjoyed you, as always, at CAAS. Sat on front row in UP CLOSE session with Nokie. Was amazed at the two of you along with Nichols. Have Doc Pritcher get you in Knoxville.
Blessings,
Mike Boyd

Been playing guitar and writing songs for over 30 years. One day I'll stop fighting over-exposure and get discovered. Until then, I'll just keep trying to get as good as you and in cog-ni-to(however it's spelled)LOL KW

Hey Thom, just wanted to say thanks for keeping the music alive. The style your father originated so many years ago is timeless and unmistakable when performed correctly. "Travis Pickin" is term used too loosly to decribe many variations of finger style guitar. True thumb pickers will always appreciate the difference. Nothing warms my heart more than to see and hear you play your Dads old D-28. Thanks for sharing the Travis/Bresh style thumbpicking with the rest of the world. Like your father, you are an immensly talented man and I love your work, thanks for keeping real.

Mr Bresh,
Thanks so much for coming to Columbus to play for the Club. It was the best and most entertaining I have heard yet. You are also one funny Dude.
Thanks again, and hope you can come back real soon.

Thom,
A quick note to 'thank you; for such a fantastic show on Saturday. A couple of weeks ago, a woman came into a room at a senior center where I play guitar with a harmonica club. She listened a few minutes; then came over and said, 'I
think you might enjoy going to this program on the 24th!' She gave me the web site. I checked it out...and so glad I did! Of course, when I saw that you were Merle Travis's son, I just had to be there. I'm a rhythm guitar player (flat pick) but, as a kid (my dad, who played lead guitar player and piano), said, 'you've got to hear Merle Travis play.' And, over the next few years...I did, on radio and, occasionally, on TV. But, to say I was entertained Saturday would be an understatement. I'm so glad I was there to experience your unbelievable talent and your ability to entertain, first hand! I'm a kid of 71, and still play the 3/4 Epiphone (with deArmand pickup) that Dad & Mom bought me for Christmas in 1950 (from Al Myers'
Music Store...in Columbus). Thanks again... Ray

Thom! Please come back to Springfield sometime! I saw you with Dan Seals, and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I'm surprised that Godin doesn't catch on fire the way you smoke that thing.

Thom,
Thank you first for the most excellent performance in Columbus, OH for the OFGC. Wow!
Most of all thank you for just being you and hangin around us geetar playin guys afterwards. I am new to your dad's music and I learned a lot about your life and how others influenced your music. Also thanks for sharing with me how Jerry Reed got his love for his style of music. I have never seen JR play before. I only saw him in the movies. I never knew much about him unless he was in a movie with Burt Reynolds or singin a swamp song. He sure sounds like a special guitar player and friend of yours and all your mentors, Chet, Merle... etc.
You all have been blessed. Carry on for JR and "Reed Between The Strings".
Come back and play again someday!!!

Thom,
I had never heard of you until a friend played one of your cd's. You are fantastic. I loved your Dad's pickin'. I had heard a couple of your songs on xm radio but had no idea who Thom Bresh was.

Mixed your sound and shared nature's bounty with you at the Bay of Island's (NZ) Country Festival more years ago than I care to remember.
Good to see that you are well and still performing.
